Skiing

One of the main winter tourism destinations is skiing. Italy deservedly enjoys fame in this form of outdoor activities. It rightfully takes one of the first places to visit by European skiers, and in 2009 the Dolomites of Italy were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and are now a nature reserve.

The Italian skiing centers are a whole network of first-class resort areas with ultra-modern ski slopes that are scattered across all the southern slopes of the giant Alps arc, encircling the country from the north and north-west. Many popular tourist resorts are concentrated here, as well as a huge number of small mountain villages and villages that welcome guests at any time of the year. The mild climate, sunny winters, a large amount of snow, the beauty and variety of landscapes, amaze the imagination of even experienced tourists. Affordable prices, the richest opportunities for excursion programs, a huge selection of hotels: from the most expensive and luxurious, to simpler, but no less comfortable – you will find all this and much more in mountain Italy.

The Italian Alps are more than 1,500 km of mountain ranges, glaciers, alpine meadows and picturesque valleys. About 3300 km of equipped ski runs and almost 4500 modern and comfortable ski lifts. A large number of international competitions of the highest level are held here – Championships and World Cups. Well-prepared and diverse in complexity, the slopes are suitable both for professionals and for those who are just starting to master skiing. There are ski schools for beginners, and private instructors will reveal to you their secrets of mastery, which will help you learn the basics more quickly. A characteristic feature of Italian ski resorts is the combination of several ski areas into one large area, using a single system of lifts and funiculars, and often covering not only the Italian slopes, but also the adjacent resort areas of France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. This is very convenient for tourists, but often confusing – where no one knows the borders between the resorts – the slopes are so densely arranged, and the transition from the magnificent snowy fields of one resort (or country) to the equally beautiful slopes of another is so easy. Italian ski pass, gives the right to free movement between different centers and on different slopes within the united zone.
Winter tourism, namely skiing, in Italy began to develop somewhat later than in other alpine countries of Austria, Switzerland and France. Therefore, when organizing their recreation centers, Italians were able to take full advantage of the rich experience of their neighbors, and adopted only the best from them. Here, the service is at such a high level that there is simply nothing to compare with, except perhaps with the sincere friendliness of the locals, excellent Italian wine, amazing cuisine and breathtaking views of the majestic mountains, snowy forests and clear blue sky.

Italian ski resorts will delight you with many entertainment programs and events, noisy and funny discos, a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops, sports and health centers. And those who are not used to spending holidays in one place can take buses to the cities of classical Italy, rich in their cultural and historical sights, museums and architectural monuments, which are literally a few hours drive from the ski resorts. Do not forget also that winter is the time of the most long-awaited and magical holidays, and spending them in the Alps is like finding yourself in a fairy tale. In all towns and cities, the streets are brightly lit all night. Houses, trees and shop windows are decorated with festive illuminations.

Costumed walks, concerts and other entertainment programs take place outdoors. By the way, after the New Year has died down, do not miss the opportunity to get to the famous Milan sale, it is held just in January!

Speed .. speed … speed ..! The wind is noisy in the ears, cheeks are burning with frost, before the eyes of a billion sparkling stars …. Glide turning into flight …. under the feet is a white desert, overhead a bright sun and a blue-blue sky … Majestic mountains covered with white caps … Space! Liberty! A life!!! How nice the snow crunches … how intoxicating the air of the mountains … Fatigue … and …. huge, all-consuming happiness … In the evening – a beautiful sunset, painted with colors, a blazing fireplace, a glass of wine in the hand, candles … a cozy armchair, smiles and warmth of the people around … And in the morning – a magnificent dawn … hot croissants … the smell of aromatic coffee .. and again, the sun! Speed! Flight! A life! All that we dream of sitting in a boring, gray office and all that we can find in the Italian Alps …

Choosing Italy for a winter holiday, you will never regret it, because the reward for your choice will be unforgettable impressions that will remain with you for life.
